We know
about the existence of a tall forest tree
which is of major economic importance because
its sap-like extract (or latex) can be collected
and is the primary source of natural rubber.
Once extracted from the tree, the sap becomes
solid, elastic and rubbery. The tree we
are talking about is Hevea Brasiliensis,
also known as Ca-hu-chu or ‘the crying
tree’. The rubber tree initially grew
only in Brazil; then, it was introduced
in Asia (New Guinea and Malaysia).
Hevea brasiliensis is the source of virtually
all the world's rubber production. Latex
is a 100% natural substance: cutting the
bark of this tree releases the latex which
is then collected, preserved, and stabilized.

Thanks to its molecular
structure, latex can be compressed or stretched
to the limit without breaking or losing
its original shape and this is the reason
why latex is considered, and has become,
the best material used for mattresses.
Latex is resilient enough to bounce back
into shape, being supportive, comfortable
and conforming to your body, so that your
vertebral column can keep the best position
during your sleep and that your blood can
regularly flow through your vessels.
